By downloading, installing, or using Questory ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

You must be at least 13 years old to use Questory. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this age requirement. Users under 18 should have parental consent.

Questory currently uses a display name system without formal account registration. You are responsible for all activity associated with your display name. Do not impersonate others or use offensive names.

You agree NOT to:

• Trespass on private property to complete quests
• Endanger yourself or others while playing
• Submit fraudulent, manipulated, or AI-generated photos as quest completions
• Harass, threaten, or harm other players
• Use bots, scripts, or automated tools to gain unfair advantages
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, hack, or disrupt the Service
• Submit photos containing illegal content, nudity, or graphic violence
• Violate any applicable local, state, national, or international law

Safety first: Questory is designed to be played safely. Always be aware of your surroundings, obey traffic laws, and never put yourself in danger to complete a quest. No quest is worth your safety.

The Explorer Pass is a one-time purchase of $7.99 USD that unlocks global landmark detection and other premium features. All purchases are final and non-refundable except where required by applicable law. Payments are processed securely by Stripe.

The Explorer Pass is tied to your device/browser. We are not responsible for loss of access due to device changes, browser data clearing, or account issues.

You retain ownership of photos you submit. By submitting content, you grant Questorya worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your content within the Service for gameplay and promotional purposes.

You represent that you have the right to submit any content you provide and that it does not violate any third-party rights or applicable laws.

We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms or that we deem inappropriate, without notice.

Questory requires location access to function. By granting location permission, you consent to the collection and use of your GPS coordinates as described in our Privacy Policy. You can revoke this permission at any time in your device settings, which will limit certain gameplay features.

All content, features, and functionality of Questory — including but not limited to the Scout owl character, quest content, UI design, logos, and code — are owned byQuestory and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service without our prior written consent.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

Questory is a game. Quest prompts are AI-generated and may occasionally be impractical for your specific location. Use your judgment — if a quest seems unsafe or impossible, skip it.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, QUESTORY SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO PERSONAL INJURY, PROPERTY DAMAGE, OR LOSS OF DATA.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Questory and its operators from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another party.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except where prohibited by law.
